About Zeta Amicae

We are thrilled you found us and can’t wait to share with you  The Finer Friends of Zeta Amicae of Charlotte Psi Mu Zeta. 

The Ladies of Zeta Amicae of Charlotte Psi Mu Zeta Chapter made history on January 8, 2023. Thirteen phenomenal women charted this auxiliary with one common goal in mind; to make a difference in the lives of others through service. Our mission is to lead and serve in our community through education, communication, evaluating, elevating, and rebranding. We work hand in hand together while cultivating friendships for life. 

As a Zeta Amicae, we vow to be a forever friend to the finer women of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. 

Since 1940, chapters of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, realized the importance and the valuable contributions of women who chose a different educational path than college. Though many women affiliated with Zeta chapters served in organized auxiliaries, their place in the sisterhood was made official when National President Lullelia Harrison included in her report to the 1948 Boule’ a recommendation that chapters be allowed to organize auxiliaries known as Zeta “Amicae” (Friends of Zeta).

The Amicae auxiliary provides an opportunity for professional women to be affiliated with Zeta and assist the sorority with providing positive, proactive, and far-reaching community service, both nationally and internationally. Today, Amicae auxiliaries are in all eight regions of Zeta Phi Beta and have continued to render invaluable community service and thousands of dollars helping Zeta extend their outreach to the communities where they live and serve.

Zeta values our Amicae and embraces the concept that all women, no matter their educational level, have the ability to reach their full potential in all areas of their lives to create and achieve unlimited opportunities. We invite you to consider joining our pursuits of providing world-class service to the communities in which we serve. 

The ideal candidate must meet the following criteria at minimum:

• May not possess a four-year college degree.
• Must be interested in community affairs, community service and outreach activities.
• Are not members of a professional Greek letter organization.
• Are willing to give the time and financial commitments associated with membership.
• Are active in religious and/or community activities.
• Wants to become affiliated with Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.
• Possess a cooperative spirit, positive attitude, mature in thinking, behavior, and attitude, and can work with others to achieve a common goal.
